First signs of Spring...

I was walking along the river the other day and noticed how many flowers had bloomed.
Here are a few shots I took along the way...

and this little cottage was just so cute!

It's trench time!

Camilla Akrans' Toni Garn story in the latest issue of US Harpers is my eye candy for the week. It's so elegant and it fills me with great pleasure as it reminds me of the summer days to come...

Since it's a bit too early to shop for "barely there" dresses, I decided to remake the trench look (image bellow).
I have recently brought my trench coat out again...and with great satisfaction! Bye bye winter coat...hello sunny days!!

Pairing a nice belt with your trench is a nice way to jazz it up. I like this combination of the French Connection coat and this belt from whistles.

2) Belt from Whistles

An Afternoon in South Ken

I decided to go check out the Yohji Yamamoto exhibit at the V&A on Saturday. Before heading down to the museum, I stopped by Byron for a proper burger...
I have to say, I was not disappointed. I ordered a juicy chicken fillet along with some delicious courgette fries. The most amazing part of it all is that A&W root beer was on the menu; my american "peche mignon". I also tasted the strawberry milkshake which could have well come from a 1940s american soda fountain. It was a lovely experience and one to be repeated.

And these are a few pictures of the V&A courtyard where I enjoyed a digestive break in the sunshine...

Inspiration for my next outfit purchase...

I love Lara Stone's story in Self Service shot by Alisdair McLellan...

I'm a big fan of the 70s trend at the moment and was inspired by Lara's outfit on the left so I scouted for a high street copy on the internet. This is what I found...

1) This blouse from Topshop, £38.00

2) This skirt from Reiss, £125

3) And this super cute necklace to complete the look! By Alex Monroe, £120

et Voila!

Laurent Rivaud

I love this necklace. My very stylish colleague Christine, wears this necklace almost every day. I love it. It's a perfect piece of statement jewelry; strong but feminine at the same time. It was designed by Laurent Rivaud who's been designing for Vivienne Westwood since 1994. He also collaborated with designers like Thierry Mugler, Chloe and Yves St Laurent. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to get a hold of pieces from personal collection which have been discontinued. This particular piece is from 4 seasons ago...sigh!

Parisienne

We all have a fantasy of the person we want to be…especially women as we are constantly striving to achieve the best image of ourselves. We imagine what we would wear, what we would do, the kind of people we would be with. I suppose it’s like being a little girl fantasising about ourselves as adults. I always saw myself as an elegant Parisienne, smoking her cigarette at le Café de La Paix in my Max Mara coat.

But it didn’t happen, now I am a French girl in London and it is turning out to be pretty romantic too. However, in honor of my Parisienne fantasy, I have compiled my favourite “Parisienne” perfume commercials “pour le plaisir des yeux”…
